ALLIS WD45 HORSE POWER?

HI i have a farm and can only get out to it 2 to 4 times a year. I need to buy a tractor to mow the land. The grass is around 4ft tall and i am wondering if the wd45 will have enough power to the pto to mow it. I am also wondering if it is an all around good working tractor. If you know please tell me how easy it is to get parts for. the guy who is selling it is selling it for $2000 and i am wondering if that is a reasonable price. any help would be great thank you.

The Allis is by far the better looking tractor! But if both tractors are in good shape the Ford is by far the better buy. Maybe you can paint it orange after you get it, that would help a little. If you don't buy the Ford, post a number where other people can contact the owner to see about it.

The WD-45 will have enough power to mow your ground using a 5 or even 6 foot mower if it is in decent shape. It will have 5 or 6 HP more than the Ford 3000 about which you posted on the Ford page. The $2000 price seems reasonable if it is in good shape but a little high if in questionable shape. Check the brakes and operation of the PTO and hand clutch. Does it have a wide front? Is your land steep? Does it have power steering? The Ford 3000 will, no doubt, have a wide front, power steering, as well as a lower center of gravity. The 3000 is a better mowing tractor, assuming that it has live power, as is likely, and will command a higher price even though it has a few less HP. The 45 is good cheap HP, though, and will mow your ground if in decent shape. It will more easily handle a 6' cutter than will the 3000. Either will be more than enough for a 5'. Finally, the 3000 will have a 3 point hitch and the 45 will not unless fitted with an aftermarket conversion. This substantially affects the selling price. Without a 3 point, you will need to use a more expensive trailing type mower.

Might be a little high I can get them in my area for around $1000 up to arond $1500, They are 43HP by the way
