Allis Chalmers Radiator Cap and Fuel Cap

Hey All, I am looking for a picture or info on where I can get a original radiator and Fuel/Gas Cap. I know what the Fuel cap looks like originaly. but I do not know what the radiator cap is supposed to look like, I believe mine is a after market Automotive cap right now.

Thanks for the picture and info Rod... and thanks dave for the compliments. The tractor has TSC enamel paint, of course Allis Chalmers Orange, the tractor was took apart and painted. It has lots of new bolts, New rebuild on the motor 1/4inch over sleeves (More HP), new clutch, new brakes, new radiator, new steering parts, ect. lots of stuff done to this tractor to get it to look like this. I just installed tonight a new above hood muffler/Rain cap, It looks real nice and sounds alot better than the open header I had on there. I just recently went threw the carb also. If anyone has any info on where I can get one or possibly two of these caps for a reasonable price please Email me. Thanks. I do have a 1939 B, I think I forgot to mention that.

WOW, that looks good. What kind of paint is that and did you do the job yourself? Was it painted complete or diassembled and painted seperately?
I should have never watched RFDTV but after I did I got fascinated with restoring and old tractor.
Well I located an old AC but it's not a tractor. It's an AC road grader maybe 40's model with a serial #1D214. Appears complete with original radiator cap and fuel cap. Problem for me is it's not mine but I plan to start to locate the owner by end of this week. I have a fish camp surrounded by abandoned camps and this happens to be sitting in the bushes. It's never moved in the 5 years I,ve seen it. It does have some tire work needed and engine appears to be locked up. There's alot of work to done, these are the initial findings. If it was a tractor it probably would be gone. Good luck on you cap's. That looks real sharp to me.

Hi Chad,

Here's what the original gasoline and radiator caps for the early Bs (except 1937) look like:

The gas and radiator caps are the same part number (207244). Notice the vent hole. Bs prior to serial B61222 had a vented (non-pressurized) radiator and should have this vent hole in both caps. I obtained a replacement radiator cap a couple of years ago that looked identical to the above except it did not have that hole. It must have come from a later B. I wound up drilling it to match my gasoline tank cap. It is a 1/16" diameter through hole.

I think I am going to go with one of these. Does anyone know what color these are supposed to be, I would assume orange.. but did they come looking like this one.
