Does anyone know the hydraulic working pressure on a D17 Series I ? The tractor has a Allis loader that seems weak. I put a gauge on the system and the pressure goes up to 2000 psi then drops immediately to 1500 psi. There are no external leaks in the system. Thanx in advance for the help.

If I remember correcly, it should be somewhere between 3750 and 4000 psi. Your pump is unloading way too soon and probably could stand a good rebuild.

Forgot to mention that it chatters when operating. I guess I'll look at a pump rebuild. Thank you.
