Pros and Cons of the Allis Chalmers Model 7000. What HP? What years they were manufactured? Any info appreciated.

We have 2 of them.They have 4 speed trans. with 3 powershift speeds in each.PTO is totally independent.

The 7000 was manufactured from 1975 thru 1979 it was a 12 speed powershift only powered by a 301ci turbocharged AC 6 cyl. diesel.It was replaced by the 7010 to offer 20 spd power director transmission. The 7000 was shown as 106hp at the pto but was very capable of turning out more than that.The 7000 had a different rearend than its bigger brothers not quite as beefy but more than adequate for its hp rating.

Does the 7000 still have the same pto system that the 190xt and 200 had? IE, "Live" via use of the PD or hand clutch and not true LIVE pto?

I see that it still has the same 301 turbo engine of the 190xt and 200 tractors.

I see that there is one for sale perhaps 90 miles away for $7000. That tractor is supposed to be open station, however. What is a good price and what equipment should the tractor have?

The 7000 does have the same engine as the 190XT & the 200, but the back half is completely different with fully "Independent PTO".

I wish I could be more help but I only sold one of these tractors and it was one of the last ones it was a black belly one. But remember these were strictly powershift tractors so I would guess it was not the same as the others. The book says independent pto which tells me it was engaged by its own clutch. I sold it to a grain farmer so pto was not a factor. They listed for around 17000$ new I would guess the price would depend on how well it was treated and hours.
