I have some play in the box, it there a simple way to adjust it without taking it apart?

On one side you'll see a hex nut with a straight slot screw in it. Loosen the nut and screw the screw in until comfortable. Don't snug it up too much. Make sure your play isn't in the front end. Those conical bolts that hold the steering arms to the kingpins can wear the holes oblong and cause looseness. I've seen a lot of people have welded the arms to the kingpins.
