Try the store at the front of this site. They have some good prices on engine kits. If it were mine, I'd open it up and see whats needed. I thought I could do just a rering and bearing on a CA of mine, it didn't sound bad but when I got it apart, I was suprised at how worn it was and it still ran good. If you have a gas burner its a 226 cid 4 cyl. If diesel, 262 cid 6 cyl.

I think all D17 have either a 226 4 cylinder gas or a 262 6 cylinder diesel. But if it has previously been overhauled with aftermarket pistons and sleeves, you may have trouble finding rings. If it's gas, is bore still stock 4"?

Go to your local AGCO dealer. You can find the closest dealer on the AGCO web site if you don't know where there is one.
