I'm rewiring my wd45, and converting back to original 6v, but I've got some wiring questions. I hope you guys can tell me if I'm right here.

Wire from starter as power to - side of ammeter. + side of ammeter to ignition switch, head light switch, and 'bat' terminal on the regulator (converting to regulator also). F on regulator to F on genny. G on reg to A on genny.

Is that correct? Also, what guage would you use on all of this? I was told 12ga would be good, but I was thinking 10ga on genny and regulator wires.

So, am I missing anything? Will 12ga work just as good?

Thanks for the help guys!

so far so good. i commented onALLIS forum also. appears you are positive ground, and back to original. if you go with a voltage regulator make sure it is acceptabe to positive ground, and is rated at 6 volts. 12 gauge wire is acceptable for 20 amps, the generator does not put out that much.

Steve, Thanks for the reply. Looks like I'm wiring with 12.
