I was thinking of buying a wd-45, the only problem is that it has a 2point quick hitch and my equipment is 3 point. does anyone make an adapter, or is there an easy way to convert this?thanks for any help.

In any event a 'quick attach' connected to the snap coupler-to-three point adapter is the best set up. You can then hook up a three point implement without getting off the tractor(except for a pto shaft or hydraulic hose connections). If you get a snap coupler-to-three point adapter that uses the snap coupler system like the original AC unit you can then drop off the whole unit and just use a snap coupler implement as is. Speeco makes a good quick attach unit.

I have a D-15 series II with a bolt on 3pt hitch and I am using an old ferg. 2/14 plow to turn virgin soil. I am finding very difficult to keep my plow at a steady hight. Because I am not using a snap coupler plow, could my draft system/traction booster not be working????

Dave is sure right about adding a quick hitch to the 3 point system after you add a 3 point conversion to the snap coupler draw bar. Then you can hook up 3 point equipment as easy as you could hook up snap coupler equipment. I sure like the way snap coupler equipment pulls. It was a real step backward when the industry all desided to go with the old Ferguson designed 3 point system. Oh well we all know that often the best marketed idea and not the best designed one is what usually catches on.

There are 3-point adaptors that fit into the snap coupler when the drawbar is removed. Others, as Tony mentioned, make a three point that can be bolted on without removing the drawbar. Other Allis sites have vendors that list these. Also the Old Allis News magazine has ads for them. Dave

Farmall/IH made a 2 point quick hitch. If you have an AC WD45 it has a snap coupler hitch. There are 3 points; 2 lift arms and a drawbar. It is very easy to convert to the Fergie style 3 point. It takes less than 10 minutes to bolt a conversion kit on to the drawbar. Some conversions replace the draw bar and you can switch those back and forth in about a minute. If you are going to use ground engaging equipment the snap coupler system is a little bit better than the more accepted 3 point. So you might want to keep your eyes open for snap coupler plows and disks and such. They usually can be bought very cheaply and are far stronger than most of the 3 point equipment you can buy at the farm stores. But any 3 point equipment you have will be fine until you run across the other.
