Brother-in- law VS Allis CA

My brother in law took his dad's CA equipped with a wide front, and ran it into a driveway curb with the front wheels at full lock to the left.
This resulted in the radius arms mounting point on the torque tube being cleanly broken off. Luckily the tractor came slowly to the ground and no other damage was done. We managed to get it jacked up and cradled the front on a boat trailer and got it into the shop. As I see it there are three possible solution to this dilema.
1. Find a torque tube assembly, split the tractor in 3 pieces and replace it, I am guessing that to get the torque tube we are probably looking at purchasing a whole parts tractor.
2. trade someone the wide front for a tricycle front assembly. Don't like this for safety reasons
3. Fabricate a substantial U shaped assembly which would be mounted to the sides of the torque tube, there are 2 available threaded holes.and the bottom of the U would be fabricated to accept the radius rods.

The radius rods appear to function only to keep the front assembly positioned on the swivel pin.

This tractor gets light use and is not subjected to rough terrain, and we just want to make it useable and safe.
I would be grateful to anyone who may have handled a similiar situation and can be of help.

My Father did something similar to his CA in the 60's. He took in into the welding/blacksmith shop and the guy there welded the broken piece back on to the torque tube. Dad put a strap over the welded area and it has been OK ever since. If you want more info, you are welcome to e-mail me.
