Subject: WTD: Fiat Allis HD6 D clutch pressure plate asembly "Auburn"

Wanted: used clutch pressure plate assembly for a Fiat Allis HD6 Dozer Serial # 1442. My metallic clutch plate is OK and the mating cast pressure plate is OK. but missing 3 retractor, studs (broken), springs and locators.
The throwout bearing's internal bushing is worn-out and the throwout yoke pins and their bearings are worn right off.

Can send photos of damaged parts as well as .gif image of parts from service manual.

Alternate USA shipping address is "Ship Happens" 603 Cherry St., Sumas Wa. 98295.

I understand now that this is a common failure with the Auburn clutches when the machine is regularly left idling with the clutch disengaged.

There is a clutch and driveline shop 20 miles south of me that can fix any clutch problem you have. Is there nit one in you area?

Normally I would say "yes" but this darned pressure plate is a different animal, it has the throwout bearing inside a large casting with over centering knuckle fingers attaching it to the plate which has a spiral ramp adjuster.
There is a disc brake pad on the backside of the throwout bearing that meets up with a disc on the output shaft which is double "U" jointed to the transmission input shaft. I was told that Auburn had made them for Allis Chalmers and it"s the only Allis I"ve ever seen with one. David

Give these guys a call:

BEST-BILT PARTS CO. INC. 2527 East Kearney Street Springfield, Missouri PH: 1-417-869-0703 1-417-869-7601 1-800-552-0036

They fix the pressure plate on an old H-3 that a buddy of mine had. This was some years ago just after the Allis ind. dealer closed in this area. I told him if BEST-BULT could not help him he was in a world of hurt. They got him going.
