d-15 shutle clutch use

My d-15 has a dying engine clutch. I need to use it for some hard work before I can fix it next summer. Is it OK to just keep it in 2nd and use the shuttle clutch. Thanks

That will make it easier on clutch but it is still no guarentee that the engine clutch will not slip under load. It all depends on what is wrong with the engine clutch

Absolutely. The Shuttle Clutch has nothing to do with the engine clutch, and breaks the powertrain motion just the same. The only time you need the engine clutch is when you shift gear ranges at a stop. If you only need 2nd gear you're okay. Good luck!
