Wondering if a 262 block will bolt in a 190. Are they basicly the same. These are gas engines.

I tell you what, I'm not sure because my book says the 190 gas was a 265ci engine and I know our shop had one in for a fuel pump problem leaking into the crankcase overfilling the the crankcase.We were an Allis dealer but fairly new at it so I can't be sure but I do know it didn't look anything like the Buda diesel or gas engine because the exhaust manifold was on the opposite side of the intake and I know the bore and stroke is different it looked very much like the 301ci diesel. You may have to go to the AC website to find out. I do know the 180 gas had the same engine. But the Gleaner combines didn't because in later years they used GMC 262 Industrial gas engines with updraft carbs. This could of been when AC started the Harvey Ill. engine works.

190XT is 301 CID, D-19 is 262 CID. If they bolt in you will have less power.
