Perry, the 7030 was rated at 130hp at the pto I used to sell them and I can tell you at that rating they were at there lowest rating because that engine was a 426ci turbo and was loping at that rating because they took that same block up to 185hp adding an intercooler in a 7080. They put it in their N-6 Gleaner combines with hollow connecting rods at 3400rpm developed 225hp. Note, if you're looking to buy it put the tractor in a fairly high gear and hold the brake if it slips that means the torque limiter is bad and requires a split job usually caused by the rear engine seal leaking cost wise for parts not expensive but labor wise another story. That's why those tractors carry a bad rep.

Thanks I just bought the 7030 i paid $2000. i think it needs a clutch. it grinds when ya try to put it in gear. i want to make a pulling tractor out of it . was looking for a d21 . but when this came up i thought it should be close to the same as the d21. thanks for info.

there is a transbrake in there that sounds like it needs adjusting if it isn't wore out. Don't ask me how you do it becase I have never done it before, but the boss has a 7040 and has talked about having to take it up so his tractor would shift properly, and I understand the adjustment can be made on the outside of the tractor. He told me what really wears it out is when the clutch is pushed all the way to the floor before the tractor stops moving and used in place of the brakes. The transbrake is designed to stop the moving parts in the transmission so you can shift it without grinding.

I don't know the the fraction of the horsepower, but a 7030 was a hair over 130 horsepower.
