I"m considering buying a 3pt conv kit. The two that I have found are the Worksaver and Cross brand units. Big difference in price on them. Can any of you speak to either one and give me some insight? My tractor is used moderately and I would like to use a 4" blade and a single bottom plow. Currently all I use it for is bush hog (pull style).

Hi Matt I have a worksaver on a C it is a quality unit that I got dirt cheap on EBAY, I like how it works but it is pretty expensive, the one thing that I like is it can be removed quickly when we want to put the cultivators on, I would not plow with a B or C with a 3 point on it, if you want to plow get a factory mounted plow for it . The cross hitch seems like a quality unit and the ones that I have seen at shows the owners are pleased with. A B or C would be very dangerous to plow with , with a 3 point, because if you hooked anything with the plow you would very likely be on you back with the steering wheel imbedded in your chest, because they usually dont stall and you might not get the clutch in as fast as you think you might. It is great on the three point with the york rake on the back.T.J.

Thanks Jim for your insight. Was leaning towards Cross thus far because of cost, and because of how often I'd use it. I certainly don't use my tractor every day. It just surprised me to see such a cost disparity, so the obvious question is WHY?
