i have a 42 c. my friend told me that i can put a ca trans in my c, he did it to his b. my question is, is the 1st gear in the ca lower and 2, 3, and 4 the same as 1,2, and 3 in the c, or is 1,2,and 3 the same in both and 4th gear faster in the ca. i am looking for a good ca trans to put in my c. i'm gonna kick up the govoner to 1650 like a ca, and i'm gonna put liove hydrolics on it, thats my sceret. thanks for any info.

According to the book I got from Agco the speeds on the Ca are as follow:
1st 2 mph
2nd 3.5 mph
3rd 4.5 mph
4th 11.25 mph
Rev. 3.5 mph
Pto should run at 538 rpm at full power

Third gear in a Model C is about 8 mph. Fourth gear in a CA is about 11 mph. Don't know how the others come out.
