I have a question in regards to the side weights on an allis c.I bought a pair and was wanting to know if there is a right and a left. The ones i got are exactly the same looks like one will bolt on upside down from the other one.the one on the right side has an angle casting on the top and the left side would be flat with the angle casting facing down.Is this correct because the man i got them from had four of them and they were all made the same. thanks Curt

Hi Curt,

My original side weights that came with my '42B are different, depending on side. The left side weight has an angle on the bottom that the right one does not have. I believe it is for clearance with the steering linkage when a B is turned hard to the left. That linkage is different on a C and clearance probably is not an issue. AC may have changed the weights to be the same at some later time so they couldn't be mixed up right to left and also be fully interchangeable between Bs and Cs. If you have that angle on both of yours, then yes, the angled area would be on the top on the right side.
