Ok, thanks a lot on the info on the HP and pulling capabilities of my C. Now I do have a bunch of questions so that I work my acreage properly with this C...as not to do bodily harm to me or the C. So, what gears and speed do I plow and disc with, (also using a corn planter)? May seem like a dumb question but I just don't know. I will have more questions but I will go easy at first. Please look at my previous expanded message regarding the condition of the soil. You folks are great help.

It is very likely that the best gear to use for any particular opperation will become obvious within the first few yards of attempting that opperation. This is most especially true with tractors that have only a few gear choices like the C.

Well you only have two to choose from and it will not be hard to tell when you need to be in first. You will most likly have to plow in first if you get a two bottom plow. If you have sandy soil you might be able to use second. Should be able to do all your fitting in second gear even though it will be an easer ride in first the first time over on plowed ground.
