Anyone know if the steering assembly (shaft & box) from an 1940 electric start C will go directly in a 39 crank start B?

i agree with Jim, the B and C boxes are "left " hand and "right" hand gears inside. THe C arm sticks UP the B arm sticks DOWN. should steer backward putting the C on the B, unless you have the C arm and point it straigth up and run the rod catty wompus to the front wheel.

Jack, Yes,if it's a Ross steering box and steering shaft,I know it'll work fine. The thing is,you'll have to make sure you use the steering arm off the B. Hope this helps. Thanks,Rick
