I was wondering if a 1953 WD-45 with the low octane motor and factory wide front end with power steering is rare?

DOES IT HAVE 2 FUEL TANKS? 1 STD AND 1 SMALL. SHOULD ALSO HAVE A K BEHIND THE ENGINE SERIAL # LOCATED NEAR THE AIR CLEANER. BOB

The power steering was rather rare. More common on diesel models than the gas ones, but certainly not unheard of. The factory power steering was not available until 1956 so if your tractor is a 1953 model, it was added on at a later date and may be an after market set up. The wide front end is not rare. By the end of WD45 production, more tractors were sold with the wide front end than narrow. Low octane fuel was a rather rare option by this time. It was more common on older tractors but the decrease in horsepower and hassle with operating on it more than offset the lower fuel cost so most people just opted for gasoline.

It may be rare, but probably wouldn't affect the value significantly. Power dteering was not an option in 1953 so what you have is either retro fitted or after market. The wide front should be a 3 bolt.
