My friend has a d-17 wide front . He wants to put wider tires on front. Does anyone make rims for this ? I believe they are 5 bolt 3 inches on center, 16 inch .. I am new to site but want to thank you all in advance .

I have 15X7 on my D-17 to run 10 ply truck tires. The rims are Dodge truck. They have a larger center hole than most standard rims. Not too difficult to find.

Joe,

We bought a D17 diesel that has "balloon" tires on it. The rims have welded sections to make them wider. We were thinking about getting original sized rims because we don't need the wide ones. The tractor originally had a street sweeper on it so that's why they put the wide tires on it. Where are you located? Maybe we can work out a swap?? The tires we have hold air fine but one of them has a cut through the tread. They look like airplane tires or what you would see on a large farm trailer.

The first D17 I had, Series One, I found wider rims for it, with the right bolt pattern- I think they were off a Buick from about the same era.

Your right, they were from old Buicks. Got some 15" wheels for the AC's and ran car tires on them.
