I have a 54 model wd45. We mainly use it for hay raking but we would also like to use it to move 4'x5' round roles of hay. I have tryed it a couple of times and tends to get alittle light in the front. My question is, did A/C make front mounted wheel weights or just box weights mounted on top of the gearbox in front of the radiator?

Do you use a three point bale carrier.A fellow I know has a snap coupler bale carrier that his dad had built for a WD. I have used it on mine and it does not make the front end as light as when I use my three point attachment . I have a larger tractor and do not use my WD to move bales anymore but if I was going to use it very much I would build one for my WD. I does not extend back as far as the three point does so the leverage works in your favor. I still need a little weight but I figure it is not as stressful on the hydraulics and is worth what it would take to build one.

Jon, I just picked up a set of front weights from Norm of Norm's Toys. They set in front of the radiator and bolt to a bracket on front of frame rail. He's in Bourbon Indiana and if interested his number is (574) 342-4545. Good Luck.

They made front and rear wheel weights for the WD45 tractors. Front weights bolted right into the wheel centers.

Watch E-bay. I've seen some but it cost around $120 to ship them. E-bay motors, agricutal, Allis chalmers. The last set I saw was in the south so watch for them. I'm just hoping to find some close. I may have but the guy din't want to sell. I did get 4 f and h weights from him $275, high price but now i've got them.
