B model just not right..

I have made some progress,it does run now,but the idle screw has no adjustment and it just isnt smooth. HAs good spark and runs better at hi speed than low,but just isnt right. Where to look next..... ...also no difference when I adjust the mag to one side or the other....

Lloyd,

Your carb may need a little attention. Could be some dirt stuck in the idle circuit or emulsion tube. If it hasn't been rebuilt yet, might be time. We offer carb service and rebuilding. We also do magneto service. Speaking of magneto, double check your point gap. A wide point gap will also make the engine "sluggish or rough" on the bottom end which would cause misfiring or "arching" at the contacts. Sounds like you have a couple small problems to iron out, but you'll get it sorted out. Don't give up just yet! If we can help you out, drop us a line. Steve/B&B Custom Circuits
