I just bought a Kewanne 3-16 3 point plow from a neighbor. on my way home the front end bounced all the way. What can I do as far as Weights or ballace to keep this from happing again. I've seen pictures of front bumpers on D-17s and front wheel weights. Any sugestions?

I bolted two 4x4's to the front frame and screwed a 4'x2'x3/4" piece of plywood to the 4by's and took a 90 gallon plastic truck tool box filled it with water and strapped it to the platform. When im done just siphon or I use a 110v pump that uses a garden hose to drain. This works well on my D17 IV with an Allis 4-18" bottom plow.

It's easy to build a nice front frame with three inch channel iron. Plenty of attaching holes are in the tractor side frame. I used 2-3 Grade 5, 5/8 inch bolts per side to mount mine. Extend about 15 inches forward, weld some uprights and crossbars in front of the radiator. Gives you a shelf in front to hold a solid concrete block, or pick up stones in the field. If your shelf is a screen, it will not hold water, and makes a good place to keep a log chain. When you make your concrete block, recess it into the frame and it takes little tiedown to keep it secure. If you have suitcase weights, you could attach a mounting bracket there. Weld a front hitch on for moving wagons, etc.

Try filling your front tires. Otherwise you can rig up some weight in the front.
