John thank for the info.what was the largest ac.before the d series? my 2 teenage boys are in to old tractor pulls and love orange paint. in this part it is mainly jd & ih. thay have a (C)& wd45 would like one largger.

I forgot about the model A, and to be honest I have no idea what HP it put out. It was a big tractor. The A would be a wonderful addition to any collection, but I understand they are quite expensive and difficult to locate, even in parts. If you want something bigger than a WD45, I'd have to recomend you consider a D-19. They were only made for 3 years and so their numbers are fairly small. That COULD mean they will have more value as time goes on. Right now they are pretty darn inexpensive to buy. Often less than any other D model for some reason. They sell around NE MO fairly regularly for $2000 or less. Yes, I've also seen them advertized for up near $5000., but I've never seen one sell anywhere near that at an auction. They are a whole lot of tractor for the money! But please don't spread that around, cause I really like the fact that you can buy them so cheap.

Allis made a model A for a few years. Had like a 450 CID something engine in it. Only 1200 of them made as they cost 3 times as much as a model C.
