I purchased an AC ModelC with plows, could someone show me a diaghram as to how they mount on tractor?

There are similarities in the B and C setups but the depth control is not the same. Actualy the only part that will interchange is the plow itself. The axle brackets can be the wrong ones and will work but the brackets for a C are longer to compansate for the larger tires used on that model. I have plows mounted on both and can send photos by email to anybody who requests them. Don't know about difference in tire and wheel size between C and B, my manual shows that they both use 9x24 back tires and 4.00x15 front. The only difference I can find is that rear wheel base is different B is 40" to 52", where as the C is 52" to 80". Friends B and my C both lift with a hydralic cylinder on each side. I am always open to learn, please explain where the big difference could and possibly are. Thanks..Keith

I don't consider the lift cylinders to be part of the plow setup since they stay on the tractor at all times. If you want to call them part of the plow along with the switch valve for two ways and the hoses them you may add them to your list of similar parts. Here are the differences, I might add that I am talking hydrulic lift here. The rockshaft for a B plow is for the plow only and is just a shaft with the brackets to attach the plow and hydraulic cylinder. The rockshaft for a model C is also used for the mounted cultivator and had depth adjustments for both sides of the two row cultivator. The right hand lever is used for the plow depth adjustment via a rod that goes forward to a bell crank mounted under the right foot rest. The B plow depth adjustment is via a lever mounted on the RH foot rest that sticks up past the RH side of the steering shaft. The "U" frame for a B plow is much narrower than the "U" frame for a C plow due to the fact that the final drives are spaced out on a model C to straddle two rows vs 1 row for the B. STD tire for the Bs when the C went into production was 8x24, std tire for model C was 9x24, thus longer brackets were sold with the Cs to compansate for the larger tire. If later Bs came on bigger tires I suppose that the longer brackets were supplied. It takes too many pictures to show all the different parts on here so I thought it to be easier to send pics by E-mail and more thoughtful than some's STD answer for these type of questions, "go buy a manual" but manuals are availible, cheap, show the correct parts for each setup and how to mount them.

Thanks for the info and education, we are never to old to learn. My C did not come with any plows and have no intention of putting any on it. I built and installed 3 point hitch. Friend has the plow setup on a "B". I was just in need of education, always like to learn all I can. The only dumb question is the one that is not asked. Thanks again for all the good knowledge. Enjoyed reading your post. And I do have a shop manual for my "C". Also other manuals for allis equipment as well as parts manuals, but none on attachments for B or C tractors.

Have a friend that has a Allis "B" with plows on it, will try to get some pictures tomorrow.Will get back to you , hopefully I will be able to post them. email me and I will email pictures.
