Can anyone out there tell me about a D12. I have a guy trying to trade in a D12 Tractor on a truck I have for sale. I usually just deal in cars and trucks. I don't know alot about tractors. Could someone give me an idea what this tractor should sell for, and if there is a market for D12's, and what I should look for when I am checking the tractor out. I did do a quick look over at it. The metal all seemed pretty straight, and it had 2 new rear tires. The paint looked original, which means it was faded out along with the decals. It also has a plow and disc with it that is supposed to have some kind of special hook up for Allis's. If anyone could give me some help that would be great. Rod

Did you trade for D12? I am interested in purchasing one if it runs. Let me know.

They were known for jumping out of 2nd or 3rd gear under load.....expensive to fix. If it has lights on the fender it is a later series and worth more. If it has a hi/low transmission and factory 3pth it is worth more. They are handy little tractors, I have an early model with a hydraulic loader that I use a lot. Sounds like this is an early model....$2000 to $3000 if they run good.

Hi Rod,

I don't know anything about a D12. I just found it weird to see my own name, both first and last, on your post :o).
