My C wont start or run unless the choke is pulled all the way out. It doesnt smoke when you do this. As soon as you push the choke back in, the tractor just stops! It acts like it is starving for gas. It just started doing this today.

What do you think is the problem, could it be a stuck float in the carb? Because we are getting gas to the sediment bowl so I know the problem is not there.

Please help me out.
ERIC

Make sure you have fuel, by taking the fuel line loose at the Carb. If you are using an inline filter, it may be the problem. If not and you have flow, then remove carb, and check needle and seat and the Main jet for obstruction.

I would take the fuel line and seditment bowl assembly out of the tank anyway and make sure that it is clear of all crud. I have had a small partical of rust or something get all the way into the main jet. You can never assume anything is clear when you have a fuel blockage untill have looked thru and into every part that fuel flows thru. That is unless you want to spend a week looking at the outside and wonder how you can wish the blockage on the inside to go away. I have seen people that had a blockage as you have that beat on the outside of there carb untill the bowl was cracked trying to dislodge what ever the problem was.

Dick,
There must have been something in the carb. I took the carb apart and squirted carb cleaner in the main jet. Then I put it back on the tractor and now it runs fine.
Thanks
ERIC
