Well, i finally got my WD45 char-lynn unit timed back up. Want to share this information with the board. I took it apart to replace the orings and got it out of time. Dave tried to explain it to me also and helped but it's difficult to understand via email. I found a charlynn diagram on the internet that helped a lot also. on my old unit, you can align the keyways on the shafts without moving the gears. to time this thing, the keyway on the "inside" of the input shaft must be aligned between 2 valleys of the star gear on the output side. not peaks but valleys. this will not make sense to anyone not working on a unit but maybe it could be kept for future reference. thanks for all the help, Kent

Glad you got it back together ok. I wish I could have helped you better, but without a picture on your end it got too difficult. You still might want to give Force America a call and ask for their catalog. It has the diagram and p/n's for the Char Lynn items and tons of other stuff.
