AC engine serial numbers

Seeking any info that is indicated by the stamped serial number on top of the left rear engine flange. The number looks like it is CE701360. The last character that looks like a zero is set away from the others.

most likely CE 70136 G which would be circa 1948. G indicated Gas as opposed to K = kerosene / distillate (known as tractor fuel) - basic difference is compression ratio.

other option CE 201360 which would probably have a PA suffix meaning later higher compression gas - 201360 would be very late circa 1957. It would be the second highest s/n I have seen (highest was 201833 on a 1957 CA but they made tractors for another year)

CE ENGINES WERE USED IN THE B, IB, AND CA AS WELL AS THE C. ALSO ON POWER UNITS AS A CR ENGINE. BOB

CE indicates that it's a Model "C" "E"ngine.
