C allis getting hot

I have a C that I have been using to mow with for two years. Tonight it started running hot for no good reason ( cool night, not much load ). It started to boil out the over flow, I flushed out the raditor with a hose although you can see through it so it is not pluged , at least on the outside. Do these old tractors have thermostats which could have stuck shut? Any ideas?

there is a thermostat inside the tall housing top of motor in the front. the radiator hose is connected to the housing. there are two vertical bolts, maybe 3/8 diameter and 5 inches long thru the housing into the top of the head. remove these bolts and take the housing off. turn upsdie down and tanke the 4 small 1/4 inch bolts out of the bottom, thermostat is inside.

thermostat used with gas engine is 135 degree F.

Thanks for the info. I cannot find a thermostat cooler than 160.
