i have a wd and the rearend was ceased so i went and got a new rear end for it i need to split it cause the place i got the rearend from cut the shaft anyone know how far it runs or how to get it out or do you think i should just fill the old rearend up with disel fuel and pull it around abit or will it be really screwed i shouldn't say it is right ceased 3 and 4 are good my dumb uncal left the tractor for 10 years and it has been in the family since new same with are allis b with the origanal steel wheels and a wc with narrow front end just got them all runing still need a bit of work

What do you mean when you say"I shouldn't say it is right ceased 3 and 4 are good"? Does that mean you can travel in third and fourth gear but it will not go in the other gears? If that is the case then the problem is in the transmission.

what do you think is locked up Kevin? i would jack up both rear wheels 2 inches off the ground and put the axle on blocks. put the transmission in neutral and see if the engine turns over? see if the pto shaft will turn by hand when you push the clutch in? if it is in the final drive units, rock each wheel back and forth by hand trying to break them loose. does one turn and the other locked? i would rock the wheel back and forth and try to get it to move a little before i drag it around the yard. draining the oil and filling with diesel might not hurt, but you are probalby talking about the bevel gear compartment, not the final drive.
