Was wondering if a D10 or D12 engine would bolt to a C trans and front bolster without a nightmare of redrilling things?

the four holes in the front of the block have the same spacings. The difference is that the C holes are 1/2" and the D 10 holes are 5/8" the same as the CA. You will need the same step down stud from 5/8" to 1/2" for the front end to bolt fast as the CA. The C flywheel will bolt on the the D 10 crankshaft. The D 10 flywheel will not fit into the C torque tube.
