We know that it is an Allis Chambers D10. The best we can figure, based on the ser# is that it was built in 1962. I bought in back in 96-97. We used it to cut pasture grass and clear underbrush in the woods on our last place. We have since moved to a bigger place and gotten a bigger tractor. It has not been used much in the last three years. I do drive it occasionally to keep it in running order. I have a complete operators manual, service manual, parts manual and most the old parts that were removed, plus a few extra items. The wiring and gauges have all been replaced and an hour meter was added. The key switch has been converted to an ON/OFF switch with a START switch. The engine cranks up and starts very easily and runs smoothly (slight putter when points are off). The muffler was changed to an under the hood style to get more clearance in the woods. The radiator and w/pump are in great condition, temp stays around 180f. The clutch was replaced in 98 during a repair to the hydraulic pump drive. The transmission 1st-2nd-4th are solid, 3rd has a rattle. The generator charges fine when engine is above idle. The 3-point hitch needs new bearing caps, I have the replacements. The hydraulics works fine; the dual function valve and the lift cylinders have a slight leak. I am willing to consider any price at this point, although I do have a bottom price. I tried to sell it for $3000 last year but did not get any takers, not sure what the fair price would be. I am also willing to barter for any other items: cars, trucks, ATVs, campers, boats, tools, mowers, just about anything. 360' pictures available via e-mail. The engine does have a problem with burning up points at times. Paul Musselman Construction Technical Services Gregory Poole Equipment Company, D180 919-890-4273 w, 919-890-4395 f [email protected]
