When I screw screw "B" to hold the plates together, and screw "A" into the tractor, and "D" is all the way out, I can no longer move the dang Lever to raise and lower the Plow.

YUP - I'm an idiot when it comes to a tractor - I'm a Medical Physicist working with Cancer Patients and machines all day but give me a tractor and I am a fumbling fool! Is this why I am having a problem plowing - because it's set for drawbar traction? Would this "allow" the plow to raise out of the ground, or won't it make a difference. I mean right now I can't get the plow to stay in the ground, and the points are sharp, and I have the adjustment screw all the way in. ? Thanks for any help!

I can't recite the ritual from memory, and the operator manual with the copy of the battery decal is in the shop- but check the decal on the right side of the battery box for details on where each component should be set for the use you are planning. The same info is in the operator manual, which you should have if you are not familiar with tractors. The 'Lift' lever, left side of the quadrant, is used to lift the plow, whether pull-type or mounted. Traction Booster for mounted plows is obtained with this same lever by raising it part way while the plow is in the ground. If you raise it too much to obtain more 'boost', the plow will raise out of the ground no matter how the other settings are made. WD tractors did not have the Traction Booster gauge, like the WD45. The gauge did not show 'pounds' of lift- it was just a relative thing, and in tough going, it might be necessary to accept less boost to keep the plow at the proper depth.

His memory is right. From my WD manual Drawbar control for plows, listers and bedders. Turn screw "A" out of body. Turn screw "B" into body sepsrating plates. Turn screw "D" out as far as possible. I am not sure why you can't move the lever.
