Does anyone know the original color of the Allis Chalmers Model C rear wheel rims?

My B is a 1948 and came with Galvanized rear wheels. Not sure about the C though. I thought they utilized the same wheel...

Have to agree with Steve. Have a 47 C with galvanized rims (the centers are orange) and the fronts are orange. This tractor was last purchased about 1956 so its possible the rims were switched before but I think its unlikely.

I believe the rear wheels were the Persian #1. Galvanized rears were used on power adjust rims and only on the outer rim then.

From memory of our neighbors new Allis Chalmer tractors the galvanized rims appeared in 1950. None were painted silver. I used to kid our neighbor about the cheap rims they got with his Allis. We had all Olivers at the time and I rode the neighbors about the cheap rims, hard riding seat, and hard stearing. We had Allis Chalmers untill in the late 40's. We traded field time with our neighbors, if you don't know what that term means, we would go help them when we had spare time and they would return the favor, and I still managed to get some of that hard seat time anyhoo. The main object was as Larry the cable guy says, was to GITER DONE
