can anyone tell me if the engine in a wd is the same as the model d road grader. im needing some info on the engine in the d road grader. thanks, tim

I have a 1960 Model D grader. It has the WD45 engine. I also have the original parts book and the part numbers for the engine match the engine part numbers for the farm tractor.

Tim, Yes, the D grader has the same engine as the WD farm tractor. And, if I'm not mistaken, it is the motor for the first WD's (it has a different bore size than the WD45 or some later model WD's). I know a WD or WD45 motor will bolt right up if you need an engine for one - don't just ask for one for a D grader. Good little machines. I would love to have one myself. Good luck!
