I have a a/c C model. When I push the clutch pedal in it makes an awful noise and I have to wait a few seconds to shift because the gears will grind if I don't. It seems like it takes a few seconds for things to quit turning after clutch is pressed. Thanks in advance for all help

Make sure the oil level in the transmission is up to full. If it is low it doesn't provide as much resistance to spinning as when full. It may still have enough to lube the gears but not help as much in slowing them down. It sounds like you need a throwout bearing. If the clutch doesn't slip you don't need a clutch. Put it in third with a big load on the back, open the throttle wide, and let the clutch out. If it locks up when you take your food off the clutch, the clutch is OK. If it keeps on slipping you need a clutch too. If you need to keep it on the cheap you can probably get away with a clutch disc only and the throwout bearing, reuseing the pressure plate.

Likely that the clutch throwout bearing is bad. Need to split the tractor to replace it. Bearing is cheap, labor is yours or $. If you do it yourself, find, borrow, build,- splitting stand. A few dollars of steel will provide you with a safe means to fix the problem.
