Does anyone know of a company that sells the old persian orange paint?Also how much would it take to repaint a wd?

I used Dupont Dulux PO#1 Acrylic Enamel on my B. By the time I was done with thinners, hardners, etc. I was into it for $160. or so as Steve mentioned. Picked that up at my local Automotive paint store. Has a nice shine, and seems to be pretty durable. It's been 3 years so far, and still looks like the day I shot it....

Ditzler sells Persian Orange #1 in acrylic enamel. A gallon will do it, but you'll be pushing it if you go over 3 coats. I have a 1951 WD I've restored. Welcome to the family!

Terry, yes Pursian Orange #1 is the correct color. IT is somewhat of a pumpkin color. Later on the AC color was changed to PO2 then Corporate Oranage, but prior to 1959 all tractors were PO1. IF you are going cheap you can use a color that is close like Kubota orange. If you want the exact color and want top quality paint go to your local auto body shop that fixes cars for a living. If he is a PPG paint dealer tell him you want Delstar 60800 or get the slightly cheaper OMNI line of paint. You are still talking close to $150-200 for the paint, reducer and hardener (if you use it). The paint is probably $40 quart, i nortmally buy a gallon, but it only takes about 3 quarts. You need about 1/3 as much reducer as you do paint. I bouth a gallon of paint for $170 and a gallon of reducer for $40. You can alos get the Martin Senior paint form some NAPA stores in the right color, but i have not tried that. THe last thing to remember about paint is, you get what you pay for. Get a gallon of paint at Wal Mart for $25. and the finish job willlook like it. If you want it to look like your truckw hen you get done, and shine for 10 years, get the automotive paint.

Can anyone please help me with this.I am not sure if persian orange is the old color AC paint,or the brighter/darker color on the "D"series and newer models.Also is there an on line site to order it,and apporx. how much would it take to repaint a WD?

Persian Orange #one through 1960 models. #2 till 1985, when Corporate Orange was official. Like other poster said- go to the auto stores for correct mix- but I would question the price. Locally, price is about $50 per gallon, per the numbers he quoted. A gallon will give 1-3 coats with a primer underneath. Use tha hardener for a good finish. Buy the hardener from the same source as the paint, so it matches!
