Okay,

I am a first time AC owner and I have a 1951 WD. She is leaking oil on the underside near the pan and also leaking fluid on the belly by the PTO. The PTO leak would be directly under the shifter.

What do I need to get to fix these? Should I buy a gasket kit? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

I'll bet you topped off the hydaulic fluid. The front hydraulic reservoir seal is prone to leak on these tractors. It will leak into the dry engine clutch area and seap (or pour in my case) out acting all the world like a leaking rear main. I'll replace that seal one of these days but since that means pulling the engine, it will wait until the next engine rebuild.

You did not give enough information to help you determine what is going on, but I can tell you that you can buy gaskets individually, through this site or from your local AGCO dealer. A lot of time, if I pull something and need a fix, I have fould the permatex gasket in a tube to work great. Just make sure to clean each surface real well first. Good luck and welcome to the site.

Thanks Bob,

I have three primary leaks under the transmission and around the oil pan.

The transmission looks like it is leaking at the PTO and the oil pan.

Thanks,
Chris

The leak by the oil pan might be the rear main seal or it could be just the oil pan gasket leaking. If it is the pan gasket you can replace that with out removing the engine, if it is the rear main seal you have to pull the engineout to get at it.
Do yourself a favor and get yourself some good manuals, operators manual, service manual and a I&T repair manual. these will help you turn into a "Tractor mechanic"
