B engine oil - which type?

I'm a new owner of a 1938 B and new to tractors in general. I have a few questions, and will start with the dumbest - the engine uses SAE 30 oil. Do I use the detergent or non-detergent variety?

others will argu for noon detergnet, that is from 1940. I am a firm believer in 10W30 detergent oil, just like your truck. some think the detergent will loosen up the crud inside and make it fall into the pan. i just change the oil twice a year and that should clean out anything inside. detergent is a better oil for keeping things clean.
