I have a carburated 2.8 v-6 chevrolet engine and i was wanting to put it into my 1940 allis wc since the old engine is locked up. Is there any adapter plates or anything needed to mate it to the transmission of the wc or will it just mount up as it is. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,

Clay

Clay, My advice is to sell the 2.8 and use the money to buy yourself a WC motor. That 2.8 has a lot more horsepower, and will turn 3-4 times the RPM's. That means the tractor will move a lot faster than it was built to (not the best idea for a tricycle front end), and the final drives and tranny won't take the additional torque (you'll need lots of spare parts). So, save yourself a lot of headaches and expense - don't do it!
