I just tore up my 2nd pto idler gear for my wd-45. anybody have one for sale? any ideas on why this would tear up twice? if my engine wasn't running completely smooth, and backfiring some would this cause it to happen, or just too much of a load on my pto?

Eric, By chance, did you check to see if the intermediate gear in the torque tube housing had teeth off it? It's located directly above where the pto gear box assembly mounts. After you remove the gear box, look up inside the housing and inspect the gear. That could be what's causing you to go through gears in the gear box like that and /or hitting large objects. Hope this helps. Thanks,Rick
