We have discovered an old tractor on the property that we have acquired. It appears to be an Allis Chalmers Model D11, series #250. It has a power take off on the side and a smal and large gas tank. I am told it was to be started with gasoline and once warmed up, run on the large tank using "tractor fuel." How can I find out something about this tractor?

WHAT SIZE TIRES ARE ON IT? IF THEY ARE 24" THEN LOOK BEHIND THE SHIFTER FOR THE SERIAL #.[B C CA] IF THE TIRES ARE 28" THEN LOOK ON THE REAR IN THE CENTER [WC]OR ON THE LEFT BRAKE HOUSING [WD]. EARLY WC ALSO HAD 24" TIRES. BOB

I am not familiar with a D-11 I have read of an HD11 wich is a crawler. You mentioned power take of on the side. Are you refering to a pulley? AC had several models that were dual fuel and had a pulley on the side. As has already been mentioned could you post a picture?
