HOW BIG OF A JOB IS IT TO PUT BRAKES IN MY D 14? I JUST GOT IT RUNNING, AND WHEN I TEST DROVE IT, THE LEFT BRAKE MAKES A LOT OF NOISE. IS THIS SOMETHING I COULD DO MYSELF?

Brakes are not that big a deal. The D14 has brake shoes and drums mounted inside the final drive housings next to the transmission case. You can jack up the tractor and do them a side at a time. I have a D15 Series II and I used a come-along to hold up and move the final drives away to get to the brakes. It's simple and not complicated at all. Get a shop manual and study it so you'll be prepared. Good luck! Hope this helps.
