D15 transmission oil leak

I have a Series II D15 that has developed a BAD leak from the transmission. The oil seems to be coming from the right-side final drive housing where it's attached to the transmission case. Is there a seal in there that could have failed? It will lose all the transmission oil over a 2-week period and the right-side foot platform stays wet with oil. Help!!!

Barry, Yeah, there is an oil seal in the differintial bearing carrier behind where the brakes are. Can't help but think there probally are some other bearings that are bad in the final drive area that might be the cause for its failure. Also, I'd clean the dip stick to the tranny and make sure it can breath. You could be building up some pressure in there after working for a while. Dale
