how to pull WD-45 Sleeves while in tractor

I am doing a in frame rebuild for my dads wd-45 putting the 4-1/8" kit in and taking the old 4" kit out. How can I get the sleeves out? Has anyone made a puller? or know how I can get them out?

Snap-on makes a sleeve puller.Its not cheap,if you look at one of there catalogs,you maybe could figure a way to make a puller work.You also might try a rental place,I don't know if they rent them or not.

You have to use your imagination, but I have made one out of a long bolt, with a piece of channel iron for the top ( the bolt goes thru the center of it), and a piece of scrap metal just the right size to fit under the bottom of the sleeve, but not so big as to not be able to go up with the sleeve. I imagine a piece of Hardwood would work on the bottom of the sleeve, with the bolt thru it with a large washer on it.. The sleeves don't usually take all that much pressure to get them to move.. I use non-hardening gasket sealer liberally on the O-Rings, and coat the bottom of the water jacket with it, to prevent future leaks. 318 chrysler valve spring retainers will increase the valve seat pressure--in case you are interested in that info...!!
