Is it possible to get an AC WD rear adjustable rim and tire which is on the right to point the right way and go on the left. You see we have two tractors, one running and one not, and both have a brand new power lug on the right side, and an old cracked older style tire on the left, and I want to find a way without spending time and money dismounting and remounting, to make two alike sets. Is there a way to spin the inner hub around and get it back into the outer rim? Thanks Eric Allen

Unless you have fluid in the rear wheels it would be faster and easier just to exchange the tires.

AC tire d? GO TO YOUR NEAREST TRACTOR TIRE DEALER AND ASK THE SERVICE MANAGER HOW MUCH HE WOULD ESTIMATE THIS WORK WOULD COST. AT LEAST YOU WILL KNOW HOW MUCH YOUR OWN EFFORTS WILL SAVE YOU. YOU MAY ALSO LEARN WHAT STEPS MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED TO GET YOUR BETTER TRACTOR INTO THE FIELD. MOST ESTIMATES COST LITTLE OR NOTHING.

You have to take the eccentrics loose from the wheel center and flip it around. The valve stem will be on the inside is the only telltale sign when you are done. This is a good time to free up the eccentrics and lube them.

Eric,
I am looking at doing the same thing on a D-17. I think that if you just move the rime with the rail, in other words, leave the eccentrics one the inner rim, you will find that they will work without taking the tire off the rim. This is why when you change the tire spacing, one has to be done in forward and one in reverse. I'll have to look for sure tomorrow but I am pretty sure what I have said will work. Den

Didn't quite understand what you meant about leaving the eccentrics on the inner rim- that's why my previous post would refer to moving the entire wheel and rim assembly. Like the other poster said- you need to remove the eccentrics if you want to move only the rim/tire assembly to the opposite side.

It would work, but reverses the wheel center, giving you a different distance from centerline of the tractor, than would be on the other side. Wheels can be dished in or out.

Yea, that is what I want to avoid if possible, because it would look strange, be spaced differently and I don't think the wheel weight would bolt on. I was hoping someone had found a way to flip the outer on the inner, but I don't know if that's possible since you have the swirl pattern on the rails going one way where they come together. That is my main question; will those rails hook to the center hub either way. Thanks all...

The rim with rails fit the wheel center either way- they have to, otherwise the hole for the innertube valve would necessitate two different part numbers for wheel rims.
