i have a 3 point hitch on my wd--its somewhat less than ideal--does anyone have experience with a catergory one quick hitch? pro and con? i have to do something--there is no adjustment in the hitch and it takes something like an hour to put a brush hog on the tractor--makes me want to have a tractor for every operation on the farm. i know this is a goal for some--i cant afford it---

Are you trying to use the factory built 2-point hitch as a 3-point? If you are that would explain the hour connection time. Conversion kit for the factory 2-point to a 3-point will cost $350 to $400. Easy installation, an hour of time.

If you have an aftermarket 3-point without adjustments, a welding shop should be able to add turnbuckles. Guess, probably half the price of a 3-point kit.

Suggest you have a farmer friend take a look at your setup and advise.

Not sure what the problem is but it shouldn't take much more then 5 minutes to hook up a piece of 3-point equipment.

If the problem is that the arms are not adjustable and will not go low enough to attach to the bushhog. Next time before you disconnect, set the front of the bushhog on two pieces of 4 x 4, couple of cement blocks or something similiar.

If your saying the top link is not adjustable. Turnbuckle style top links are readily available at farm supply stores in the $25 to $30 range.
