C.Powell,
One thing I would look for is to make sure the transmission goes into and stays in all gears and makes no growling or popping noises.Check to make sure the engine has no knocks and runs fairly well, dont worry about tune ups or a slightly rough running engine, these are simple engines to repair and maintain. As for the single front wheel,If you have the possibility to buy it I wouldnt waste any time,Thats a pretty rare setup for an Allis C.I dont have actual production numbers but it wasnt very many so it is a rather desirable item for the collector. Most were a two wheel tricycle or a wide front end.The main purpose was for specific crop row spacings that a narrow or wide front wouldnt fit between.Thats a hell of a good find and one great little tractor.
