I am new to allis chalmers, just got 3 of them with a farm that I just bought. Was plowing with the D15 using a 3-14 snaplock plow, pulling in hard ground. My power adjust wheel on the right slipped so I stopped, loosened it and put it back where it was, then started plowing again. Halfway, down the field it did it again, slipped all the way back to the in position. Is something loose or missing or should I have them in the in position when plowing to start with?

Chad; The powershift rims have 4 rails, one rail has holes for the positive stop block it sounds like you're missing. But the wheel should not slip on the rails. Look at the 4 eccentrics that lock the wheel to the rim in the given position. You turn the eccentric TO THE RIGHT to lock it on the rail. The tabs on the bolts should go ALL THE WAY to the right and butt against the bracket. ALL 4 eccentrics have to be locked to the right. Try turning the bottom eccentric all the way first, then the top one, then the left and the right to full lock. If the eccentrics are rusty, use penetrating oil and a pull handle with a LONG cheater bar. Even with the stop block in place on the rail with the holes, the wheel should NOT slip on the rails. Hope this helps.

Yep... Your missing the stop that bolts into the rail. I assume that your assentrics (sp) are warn as well, when you tightned these (there are 4 on each side) did they lock all the way to the right (clockwise)?

is there 1 stop on each wheel or is there 2. I have 1 on each one of my wheels. Could the one that slipped been facing the wrong direction?

Thanks!

You are supposed to have a stop block on each side of the wheel center guide fitting that is using the rail with the holes in it.
